The distillers first discovered wild foraged Himalayan Juniper on a trip to Delhi’s spice market. Unsure of its properties, they took it to England’s Gin Guild where it was confirmed to be Juniper, albeit of a unique nature. This revelation launched a trip through the extremities of the Himalayas to source it at its best.

Blend and Maturation: This 8-year-old Calvados “Sauternes Cask Finish” has spent several months in small French oak barrels that have contained Sauternes wine. This aging method will reveal gourmet and fruity notes to this “ageless” Calvados which will appeal to the greatest number. With this Calvados “Sauternes Cask Finish”, our Cellar Master has succeeded in producing an original and elegant Calvados, both traditional and innovative.

Tasting Notes: Clear golden yellow. Bouquet opens with notes of honey and acacia flower, followed by spicy aromas (nutmeg) to blossom on notes of applesauce. This Calvados surprises with its softness and roundness, very balanced, without any heaviness. The aromas of apple, honey and spices are present in the retro-olfaction, accompanied by notes of hazelnut.

Inspired by Provence roses, Insolito (directly translated to 'unusual') is Ron Matuslem's classic rum with a beautiful twist. Each batch is made from hand-selected rums and aged for three years in Tempranillo wine cask barrels. It is then married with the Solera Blender used in Matusalem's iconic Gran Reserva 15 to create a sublime rusty pink rum. For their Merlet VSOP cognac, Gilles Merlet and sons selected and blended eauxde-vies over 4-years-old from various regions in the Cognac appellation, in order to ensure its consistent quality.

The Ugni Blanc, the largest proportion of grape used in the blend, brings intense, subtle notes of fruit, such as peaches. The Merlet distillery’s VSOP is also characterised by its round and supple mouthfeel. A delicious cognac for tasting on its own or in a cocktail.

The masters at Merlet have done it once again, creating an award-winning XO par excellence that brings together a wonderfully woody palate with lasting fruity notes in a classic blend that’s been aged for a minimum of ten years. This particular blend contains a combination of mostly Fins Bois and Fine Champagne eaux-de-vie, using the art of blending, masterful maturation and skilful savoir-faire to create the now-iconic Merlet XO Cognac.

A round and warm blend that boasts an extreme elegance in both taste and presentation, the Merlet XO Cognac has been carefully crafted by Gilles Merlet and his two sons Pierre and Luc, distilling their eaux-de-vie on-site before leaving it to age for at least 6 years in the family's cherished cellars. This combination of crus produces a unique and fruity aromatic palate that has been described as "characteristically Merlet". A well-rounded and exquisite XO, it has been celebrated for its beautifully balanced flavors of fruit and wood.

This spirit is made from 100% agave Cupreata that was harvested from the mountain slopes of the Rio Balsas basin in the southern Mexican state of Guerrero. Nàdar Gin is a fresh, silky smooth and exciting spirit using botanicals grown on Arbikie’s estate. It’s the world’s first climate-positive gin.

Nàdar Gin is the result of a five-year research project by Arbikie’s Master Distiller, Kirsty Black, during her PhD studentship between Abertay University and The James Hutton Institute, Scotland.

The gin has a carbon footprint of -1.54kg of CO2e (carbon dioxide equivalent) per 700ml bottle. What it means is that the gin is able to negatively offset the carbon dioxide emission in its production thereby climate positive. This is achieved by using peas, instead of more common base ingredients such as wheat, barley or maize. As legumes, peas are able to source nitrogen, which is critical for plant growth, from the air.

The small batches were kept at the distillery warehouse located in Carbet, nearby the famous Mount Pelée in northern Martinique.
