Our Guatemalan rum is made with first press sugar cane fermented with yeast from the pineapple plant. This creates a light, floral and smooth rum with a natural subtle sweetness to which we add selected classic, young Caribbean rums to give classic rum character and strength, creating an elegant, balanced blend.

We blend these rums with all-natural toasted coconut and pure, sustainably sourced coconut water which extends the fresh, coconut flavour and gives the rum a wonderfully smooth mouthfeel.

The flavours are so good we make sure we don't hide them behind the wall of sugar found in many other coconut rums.

THE FRUIT: Created at the beginning of the ’90s, Mara of the Woods is a juicy strawberry, very sweet and very fragrant. Its uniqueness is its fragrance of wild strawberries. It also has musky notes which will seduce young and old alike. This light red fruit has a slightly conical shape which distinguishes it from other strawberries on the stalls.

SEASONALITY: ARHUMATIC’S Fragaria Silvarum is offered from the month of July after the first harvest of strawberries.

Chairman’s Reserve Limited Edition 1931 is a tribute to the rum philosophy and craft established by our founder, Denis Barnard, when he established his distillery in 1931, which has become today one of Saint Lucia’s most cherished treasures, St. Lucia Distillers.

Blend and Maturation: A seamless blend of Coffey and pot still rums aged from 6 to 11 years in Bourbon and Port casks. The majority of the 1931 blend comes from traditional molasses rum, while the hidden spunk of the spirit is influenced by the inclusion of Lucian agricultural rum produced from fresh sugarcane growing in the fields adjacent to the distillery.

Tasting Notes: Vibrant medium gold in colour with a subtle bronze hue, the character of the rum is highlighted by the expressive aromas of honied raisins and vibrant toasty oak notes followed by hints of leather, spice and tobacco. A well-balanced mid-palate provides structure around flavours of rich sultana fruit with hints of crème caramel and buttery oak. At first, a sweet raisin fruit, trailed by dry and tannic flavours from the oak barrels. A hint of grassy aromatic sweetness from the sugarcane distillate gives a unique, hedonistic but balanced element to the finish of the rum.

Clairin Sajous is an intriguing style of rhum agricole from Haiti - they press the sugar cane, and then reduce the juice over fires fuelled by the remains of the sugar cane! It's then fermented using wild yeasts and double distilled before being bottled at full-strength.

Phraya, pronounced "prah-yah", is a molasses rum from Thailand, the name was once used to denote the highest honour awarded by the King in gratitude for outstanding service to the country. Phraya is produced in the SangSom distillery, the oldest distillery in the country, founded in 1977.

Located in the Nakhon Pathom province west of Bangkok, it benefits from fertile land and a climate perfect for growing sugar cane and produces a traditional rum distilled in a column still.

Resolutely avant-garde, SangSom is also one of the handful of distilleries in the country that have become experts in the art of ageing. Phraya's rich and complex style reflects this.

To honour Alexandre Gabriel’s 20th anniversary as Master Blender, we created Plantation XO 20th Anniversary using a blend of quintessential extra-old rums from Barbados.

Over a decade later, we are still very proud of this rum as it continues to receive praises and top awards.

First aged in bourbon casks in Barbados for many years, this rum is then sailed across the ocean in barrels to the southwest of France to be further matured in small Ferrand French oak casks.

This centuries-old “double ageing“ process imparts incredible smoothness and complexity. It unveils a sophisticated palate of chocolate, vanilla, ripe banana, roasted coconut and a hint of fresh mango notes. With a remarkably long finish, Plantation XO 20th Anniversary is truly a rum to savor.

This delicious rum is made using traditional techniques and local Fijian sugar cane. First aged in this tropical climate in bourbon casks, the rum is then sailed to the southwest of France for a second maturation in French oak casks.
This double ageing method paired with Fijian know-how creates a rum with warm notes of exotic fruits and raisin.

Plantation O.F.T.D. Rum is our take on that classic style of overproof rums. And not just ours: to join him on the quest to get the blend and the proof just right, Alexandre Gabriel scoured rum joints around the world to find six grizzled old salts who knew which end of a rum bottle was which.

Together they came up with this blend of Guyana, Jamaica and Barbados rums, bottled at 69 percent alcohol.

O.F.T.D. officially stands for Old Fashioned Traditional Dark but if you ask any of the seven collaborators who were in the room when this blend was born, they’ll tell you it really stands for something else that was exclaimed when the winning rum was tasted…

Plantation Stiggins’ Fancy Pineapple Rum is the fruit of the labor of a third collaboration between Alexandre Gabriel and David Wondrich. Alexandre and David first worked together to create Ferrand Cognac 1840 Original Formula, which was introduced at Tales of the Cocktail in 2011 and went on to be awarded the Best New Product at the Cocktail Spirit Awards of 2012. The second collaboration resulted in the Pierre Ferrand Dry Curaçao, launched in 2012 which was elected Spirit of the Year at the Berlin Bar Show in 2012.

Distillerie de Port-au-Prince is the newest rum distillery in the Caribbean, having opened in 2018 in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. The project began as a collaboration between the Barbancourt-Linge family (the descendants of the famed Barbancourt rum dynasty) and La Maison & Velier. The fruit of this partnership is a new brand of rum, Providence. The new distillery is rediscovering the methods and techniques used by the Barbancourt Distillery from 1870 to 1946.

Providence “First Drops” is the first release of the distillery. “First Drops” is an unaged rum distilled from syrup and fresh cane juice. The sugar cane comes from the incredible Cristalline variety, grown by Michel Sajous in Saint Michel de l’Attalaye. Fermentations are made separately with fresh juice and syrup which ferments for 10 to 12 days in stainless steel vats using selected yeast. Then they are distilled separately in a bain-marie batch still. The resulting spirits are combined at a ratio of 85-90% syrup distillate and 10-15% fresh juice distillate, and distilled a second time. The final distillate leaves the still at 72% ABV and is reduced to 57% ABV for bottling.

Blend and Maturation: This Australian rum has been matured for several months in the cellars of Château du Breuil. Then, it aged in an American oak barrel that had previously contained a cognac-based spirit drink.
 
Tasting Notes: Fawn orange reflections. A complex nose of woody and vanilla aromas with notes of cedar, licorice, and caramel. A floral expression and hints of licorice, honey, cocoa, and cinnamon. Full on the palate, good length with silky tannins.

Blend and Maturation: This tropical rum made from molasses and aged in bourbon barrels. Rum is a blend of the contents of two barrels from two wineries - from the island of Fiji and Indonesia. On the island of Fiji, sugar cane is grown, from which sugar is made, and from molasses, in turn, rum is produced. The drink is bottled without cold filtration with a barrel strength of 43%.

Tasting Notes: Brilliant golden amber colour. Light and well-melted woodiness on the nose. Notes of dried banana, black pepper and cinnamon on the palate. Notes of roasted pineapple, ripe fruit and coconut on the finish.

Blend and Maturation: Aged in American oak barrels that contain cognac, This Belize rum will fully bring you very subtle woody aromatic notes.

Tasting Notes: The bouquet expresses itself on the honey of flowers, the ripe banana and light caramel, depth of delicate candied fruits. The palate, initially light and floral, coats the palate. Then appear notes of cooked banana, citrus fruits and cocoa. The finish is unctuous with flavours of cinnamon and raisins.

Blend and Maturation: The base spirit is sourced from several Caribbean countries and aged between 3 to 8 years in ex-bourbon, port, and calvados barrels.
 
Tasting Notes: Amber colour. A very rich and not aggressive nose, mixing notes of roasted pineapple, ripe banana, mango, candied fruits, and nuts. On the palate, it's round, smooth and supple. Notes of vanilla and a dash of licorice.

Blend and Maturation: It was aged partly in bourbon casks and partly in port casks. Some of the distillates spent 3 years in barrels, others as much as 8. Finally, in France, the blend of these rums was poured into calvado barrels for the final stage of maturation.
  
Tasting Notes: Coppery with gold reflections. Refreshing aroma. Extremely rich and very balanced in flavour with a lingering finish.

Blend and Maturation: This rum is aged 5 years in ex-Bourbon barrels and finish at Château du Breuil in ex-Calvados barrels.

Tasting Notes: Old gold colour. Scents of licorice, sage and bergamot. Everything is enhanced by notes of lime zest and pepper. Empyreumatic flavors such as dark chocolate and caramel. The vegetal notes are more discreet. A finish on the delicacy of coconut.

Blend and Maturation: A blend of rum aged between 3 and 5 years in ex-Bourbon barrels for a balanced structure, followed by a period in ex-Madeira barrels, before fining at Château du Breuil in ex-Calvados barrels.
 
Tasting Notes: Brillant amber colour. There are notes of cocoa, clove, and coconut on the nose. The palate is rather short but very supple. Elegant note of candied orange, to give breadth and roundness to the whole. A rather short amplitude, but very flexible.
