Proper Crisp Pineapple Salsa Tortilla Chips - 170g

Hola Amigos! Proper Crisps Tortilla Chips are crafted in the same, traditional way they've been made in Mexico for generations.

First, the whole kernel GMO-free white corn is soaked in limewater. This process of soaking increases the nutritional value, flavour and aroma. These corn kernels can then be wet-ground into a Masa (dough) using Mexican Volcanic Stones. This process is called nixtamalisation and is truly the authentic way to make corn tortillas and tortilla chips. The Masa is then carefully pressed into round tortillas, cut into traditional triangles, and hand-cooked in small batches by our talented 'Proper Chefs' using New Zealand grown High Oleic Sunflower Oil.

Inspired by Mexican salsa made using fresh, simple ingredients, our Pineapple Salsa Tortilla Chips are packed full of natural flavours - and no added sugar. We've used dried pineapple with a hint of mango & jalapeno peppers for a burst of flavour both spicy and sweet.
